Each year, we bring together more than 75 local businesses with more than 150 locations for this friendly competition. Our goal is to bring together as many organizations in as many different industries as possible to collect enough food and donations to feed our community for the entire summer. We need your help to accomplish this lofty goal.
We’ll provide you with digital signage and social media post ideas to help you spread the word that you’re helping to end hunger. The event will include lots of great media exposure in local newspapers and on local radio stations. The event will run from May 20 – June 6 and collection will occur on Friday, June 7th at Surplus Unlimited in Norwich.
While we have a list of specific food that is both healthy and in high-demand during this time of year, all non-perishable goods are welcome.
Businesses will compete in three categories:
- Business category (based on gross weight)
- Overall highest gross weight
- Highest monetary contribution
We will have an awards ceremony after the completion of the competition to celebrate all of your hard work.
